Steve, Perfusionist

In April 2023, I joined Organ Recovery Systems as a Perfusionist in the company’s first LifePort Preservation Center (LPC). Prior to that, I was an Organ Transplant Coordinator at New Jersey Sharing Network. This is where I first heard about LifePort Kidney Transporter as it was used by the OPO. Several years ago, I started in the organ transplant field as a volunteer. Soon afterwards, I witnessed the donation process due to a personal connection, which changed my career path and life.

In my current ORS position, I work directly with kidneys received by LPC. From the moment we receive notification about the organ, to placing it on the pump, and coordinating its transportation, I ensure that each gift of life is thoroughly taken care of.

Not only has working at Organ Recovery Systems allowed me to positively impact people’s lives, it also has provided me the opportunity to work for a great company that genuinely cares about its employees. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my kids, traveling with my wife, and golfing with my brother.
