Katie, Strategic Account Manager

My connection to donation and transplantation began with my uncle’s heart transplant in 2002. Since 2011, I’ve served the field through roles in organ procurement, transplant nursing, service line leadership, and industry support for diagnostics and immunosuppressive therapies.

After using LifePort Kidney Transporter throughout my clinical career, I believed in the company’s mission, its people, and the impact behind their technology. I decided to join ORS in November 2025 as a Strategic Account Manager, which felt like coming home to the preservation side of transplantation. In this role, I partner with OPOs and transplant centers to support organ preservation, education, and solutions that help teams care for the precious gifts entrusted to them.

Working in donation and transplantation changes you. I’ve stood beside donor families during unimaginable grief and cared for recipients as they moved from uncertainty toward a second chance at life. Being part of both journeys has been one of the greatest honors of my career.

Outside of work, I love spending my time with my spouse, my son Henry, and our pug, Mary Jane. This fall, I’ll be cheering Henry on from the sidelines during his senior football season. I also enjoy singing in my church choir, cooking, traveling, and tackling home projects.
