Local12—Machine perfusion leading to more organ viability for liver transplants

Organ Recovery Systems (ORS) is honored to announce that UC Health, a Continued Access site in PILOT clinical trial has set a record in 2023 for most transplants in the US! We are thankful for our ongoing collaboration with UC Health and their success using LifePort Liver Transporter with Vasosol.

“The last two years, we had the highest transplant rate in the United States,” said Dr. Shah. “Our median waiting time for a liver right now is 15 days. Nationally, it’s close to a year.”

This would not have been possible without the generosity of donor heroes and their families; thank you for giving the ultimate gift of a second chance at life.
